Buying Healthy and Happy Pug Puppies

However, before buying a pug puppy it is very important to consider the reputation of the person who is selling the puppy. Some unscrupulous breeders sell unsuspecting people unhealthy pets, which makes them spend much money on Veterinary bills or loose their puppies. Pug breeders with good reputations ensure that the puppies are bred in healthy conditions and ensure the ones just born are in good conditions and do not have any hereditary diseases. One can find good pug breeders form newspapers, the internet, dog shows , stores that sell pets and by asking for recommendations.
Prior to buying a pug puppy, one should also consider the conditions in which it was bred. If they were not good, they should not buy it as they could be having diseases. A breeder who offers their clients a return policy is the best to work with. If the puppy has any hereditary effects or any other problem, the clients can take the puppy back to the breeder. History of the chosen pug is another thing the potential buyer should look into. If a pug has a bad history, it will most likely give its new owner problems.
The potential owner should also check to see if the pug puppy they intend to buy has undergone the necessary health screen checks. Health screening examinations include diseases such as cataracts, Dry eye, Corneal Ulcers, Hay Fever among others. One should also insist on seeing the puppy first before they buy it. The best place one can get the pug puppies apart from pet stores are Rescue Centers. Pug puppies from these centers are usually well taken care of and do not cost much.
